Hello, my name is Elizabeth and this website was very helpful for me in
finding out information on issues with the black communities health
that I was not aware of. This started out as a search for information on
an article I am writing for my class, I am a college student) but it
became so interesting that I just browsed thru the whole website. Thank
you for putting this helpful information out for us to view and become
educated, the internet is filled with so much negative and unnecessary
information that is not vital to the black community and I commend the
effort and goal for this website.

Elizabeth

Dear Sir/Madam,
While I found your site to be helpful in many health areas, I am surprised that there are no listings for Dentists or Pediatric Dentists. Since a low proportion of African Americans even visit the dentist, it should be of utmost importance that we become exposed to that sector of health care, but even more so, to African American dentists. I understand that you can only recommend physicians that register on your site, which may be the reason why there are no "dental" related listings in the "type of service" needed drop box on the "Find a physician" page. However it would be nice if the administrators of this wonderful website could reach out to those Professional Doctors of Dentistry as well to provide a more balanced healthcare outlook.
Thanks for listening and keep up the good work!!!!!!!

I have been an avid internet user for over a decade and a premed for 8 years and I just found this web site! The content here is extremely useful and NECESSARY. I especially enjoy the dialogue about health care disparities. I wish I'd found this site before I'd completed my research paper on health disparities in the US last semester! Anyway, thank you for your hard work and dedication!!! M Wilson, Chicago, IL

Hi, I saw someone wearing a t-shirt with the address                                                                                      of your website on it, and that is how I discovered your site.                                                                            I find it very useful and I am wondering where or how I could                                                                         get a t-shirt for your site, if you could respond, I would appreciate it.

Thanks,

 Dear Dr. Carl Gilbert,

I thank you very much for the information
on where to find our African-American
physicians, you know I came from Hartford
Connecticut and I was saying to wife, who
is from Cincinnati Ohio Finding an Afric-
an-American Physician in this city is just
not to be found. I have been asking family
and friends and nobody new, they all have
white physicians, now I can convey my
message to them, that I found a whole lot
of brothers & sisters physician, with
your help, and your web site. All about
black health. I was watching Tony Brown
last week in the discussion was on health
care for African-American, and how we get
treated by white physicians, they just
don't seem to care about us like our
brothers & sisters, they act like they
are scared of us, even though we may have the
same health care insurance, make a long
story short, I will tell all my people
 about your web site.

This is my first time viewing your website and I am impressed with all of the variety of information. I will contact my friends and family to give them the website address so they can obtain the knowledge you are providing regarding so many health and life issues.

The editor of this website is one of my favorite doctors and I speak from experience that he is concerned about providing informative information regarding health issues.

Thank you Dr. Gilbert for being the caring doctor you are and providing this website for us!!!!

Dear Dr. Gilbert,
I am a former Cincinnatian, now a physician-researcher at Stanford University.  My father clipped an article from the Cincinnati paper about your web site.  Congratulations on a very useful resource. It is quite excellent!...
..

Dear Carl: Greeeaaat website! Upon seeing your web site and reviewing it's content and design, I see, that you are putting in a great deal of careful thought, interesting material, new ideas, helpful advice, willingness to help others, along with many useful and fun things to be shared, which makes your site 100% top! Too bad, there wasn't a counter on the first page... I was wondering if many people have found and visited your work! Would you like a reciprocal link to one of my web sites? Take a pick and contact me, if you'd like: 1. Advanced Medical Assistant of America http://certmedassistant.com or 2. The JSF about Hodgkin's Disease http://jsfhodgkins.freewebsites.com

Best wishes

Your site is very impressive.  I am a Manager for the National Speaking of

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!
I've needed this for my practice for a long time.  Great job!  I'll pass this on to colleagues and clients...

I am concerned that the child pictured in the Confidentart ad (beside the pregnant woman) has a soother and is holding a bottle. Is this really the message we want to send when  the data are clear that breast feeding is healthier, and rates of breastfeeding are lower in african amer.s?

Dr. Gilbert, thank you for a job well done.  However, I'd like to see you devote more time to the mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of health.  Though many MD's prefer to address only the physical, I am convinced the key to enjoying good health is in maintaining a well balanced life which includes good fun, medication, exercise and nutrition, prayer and meditation, and connecting with the right people.

Congratulations for a much needed job! Best wishes to you and your family.  Mike

...Your web site is very impressive!!! I have not seen it all, because there is so much information there. It looks very professional...
