Brazosport College is a comprehensive community college offering both
associate degrees and a bachelor of applied technology degree. Courses are
available in a variety of formats including traditional class scheduling,
distance learning, weekend classes, and flexible entry/exit. Since its
inception in 1968, Brazosport College's enrollment has grown to
approximately 4,000 credit students per semester and 10,000+ non-credit
students per year. Brazosport College graduates approximately 200 students
annually and is the key provider of a well-trained workforce to employers in
Brazoria County.
Brazosport College is committed to hiring employees who are creative,

The college is accepting applications for the following full-time
positions:
Academic Faculty Management -- minimum of a doctoral degree in
the discipline; *Management minimum of a master's degree in management
(doctorate preferred) with graduate hours in operations or industrial
management, logistics, or related subjects preferred; Political Science
minimum of a master's degree in the teaching discipline with 18 graduate
hours in the teaching discipline (some humanities courses is a plus);
Psychology minimum of a master's degree in the discipline with 18
graduate hours in the teaching discipline; and History -- minimum of a
master's degree in the discipline with 18 graduate hours in the teaching
discipline. All degrees must be from regionally accredited colleges or
universities.
Occupational/Technical Faculty -- a bachelor's degree in the
teaching discipline from a regionally accredited college or university and a
minimum of three years work experience in the occupational area.
Administrative/Staff Reference Librarian -- minimum of a
Master's Degree in Library Science from a regionally accredited and ALA
accredited college or university; Director, Transitional Education
master's degree with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in Psychology or
Education (course work in adult learning theories preferred); Programmer
Analyst minimum of a bachelor's degree in a computer related field with
strong programming emphasis. All degrees must be from regionally accredited
colleges or universities.
Exceptional educational and/or employment qualifications may be given
special consideration as long as Southern Association of Colleges and
Schools (SACS) minimum educational credentials are met.
For best consideration, applications should be received by February 28,
2006, but positions will remain open until a suitable candidate is
identified.
